Rolando ~ Senior Year

Rolando has made much of his four years of high school. He’s earned good grades and excelled in three sports. Hard to beat that. He’s remained a gentleman all along the way as well, and there’s not much beyond that, now is there?

With less than a semester to go ’till graduation, he’s for sure counting the days. But for his teachers, coaches and classmates, it will be a farewell for a kid who’s done the high school thing the right way.

I shot these a few months ago on the campus of UC Riverside, but alas, just now getting them blogged! Enjoy!

Dalton ~ Senior Year

He’s got a great smile, kind spirit and an outgoing personality. He’s well liked and has made a positive influence on his high school campus, excelling in the sports of cross country and track. In fact, he earned a varsity letter all four years of high school! Pretty impressive.

Turns out he was a natural in front of the camera as well and we had some fun exploring “the wilds” of Riverside looking for creative spots to shoot.

Here are a few of my faves!

Rebecca and Spencer ~ A Wedding in Fallbrook

He’s from back East, and she’s from the West coast, but God had planned that they meet during the one year that Rebecca attended Biola University, the school Spencer had chosen a year earlier. While Rebecca wouldn’t spend her four years of schooling there, two schools and 50 miles of distance wasn’t enough to turn their budding relationship into a distant one. In fact, it only made their love for each other stronger.

While clouds and rain greeted their wedding day, it wasn’t enough to dampen the joy that was jumping from Rebecca’s brilliant and joyful smile. What’s a little rain when you’ve got a lifetime together? Spencer was as cool as the day and the two, along with a hundred of their friends and family, soaked in a day of laughter, love and good cheer.

It was a privilege to be part of it, and to get to document their day. Here are a few of my favorites from the day at the Pala Mesa Resort. Enjoy!

Rebecca and Spencer ~ Engagement

I’ve known Rebecca for going on ten years now, in fact, she was one of my first senior photo shoots back in the day! She’s all grown up and fallen in love with Spencer and the two are counting the days till their January wedding!

They met on the Biola University campus in La Mirada, during the one year Rebecca got to attend the university. They were on the track and cross country teams but then God called Becca to finish her degree at Cal Baptist in Riverside. Time and distance did nothing but establish a stronger love and bond between the two. Their relationship has matured and grown through the years and is a fun one to watch from a distance.

It was a FUN photo shoot! They were naturals together and in front of the camera. We walked through the Biola campus where they met then headed over to a local park to finish up. Can’t wait ’till January!

A Pt. Loma Wedding – Sarah and John

On a bluff overlooking the vast Pacific, before a crowd of friends and family they gave their vows.  The size of their promise was only outdone by the bigness of the ocean over their shoulders.  And there, on a patch of grass hidden on the campus of Pt. Loma Nazarene College in San Diego, Sarah and Jon promised to each other to love and to cherish until death.  The solemnity of the moment was only broken by the occasional laughter and smile that revealed the joy that could be found laced into the beauty of the moment.

It was a beautiful wedding that seemed just right to celebrate their love and commitment to each other. Here are a few of their images that tell the story of the day.

Dad and Sarah busted a groove. It was cool!
